Just for fun

I just got a new digital editing program a few weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to play with it. But finally today Breanne is taking a nice long nap, so Mommy gets to have some play time of her own. Not too bad for an armature eh!? I am just so grateful that I get to be this little angel's Mommy. There is nothing in the world more gratifying than to get a hug, a kiss or an 'I love you berry berry much' from my Breanne. She means the world to me, and I am so glad I get to be her friend forever and always!

Halloween Happiness!

The whole month of October was very busy but very fun! My how time is flying by. Somedays I just want to freeze life (and my sweet daughter) so that she will never grow up and to keep holidays so magical! We started out the Halloween Season with a party at Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson's house. Breanne learned what 'Pumpkin Guts' are.
We also went to pick out our pumpkins in our traditional pumpkin patch. This is one of the reason's I love living in a farming community, it's so fun to see corn fields, tomato crops and most of all pumpkin patches! Breanne had to tap the pumpkins to see if it was a good one.

What can I say... She is just plain CUTE!

Breanne was off playing in the corn maze, so mommy and daddy snapped a quick picture.
A few days before Halloween we had a party at Grams and Pa's house. These sweet innocent looking cuties aren't so sweet and innocent after all! They went off into Gram's bathroom.. and well... TERRORIZED IT!!! They all got undressed (some had poopies on) got into Gram's make up and wiped it all over themselves and everything, put tissue in her sicks and turned them on till they were over flowing with water, got in the tub with hot water till the tub was overflowing too.. When we found them there was 3 inches of poopy water all over the floor.. what else can I say, you'd have to be there to believe it! Where were their mothers!! :-) I don't think they will be on the 'Nice' list for Christmas this year... (at least not on Grams and Pa's) Thanks Grams and Pa for putting up with our 2 year olds!
Traditional stew in pumpkin bread bowls and homemade root beer.. YUM!
There's the the Terrible Trio again.. eating doughnuts.
Back in July when we went to Jackson Hole Breanne fell in love with horses.. It was then that I decided she had to be a cow girl for Halloween. So Grandma and I went to the fabric store (which happens to be one of our favorite stores) and shopped for material. Grandma Mackay helped make Breanne's Halloween costume. It turned out just how I wanted it.. Thank you so much for making Breanne that cutest cow girl ever! We sure love our Mackay!
Halloween afternoon.. carving out more 'guts'. As most of you know Breanne is a clean freak and hates to get messy.. so when she figured out she had to put her whole had down in the pumpkin to get out the guts she had to take all of her clothes off so they wouldn't get messy. The finished products. We finished just in time. Daddy had to go to work on Halloween, but he got off in time to finish up trick or treating.
Breanne and her horsey 'Braska'.
We stated trick or treating around our neighborhood, but Breanne was to scared to do it by herself. So we had to go find Brooke to go with her. It didn't take long for her to catch on.
They trick or treated till they dropped!
We stopped at Grams and Pa's to trick or treat. Grams showed her the traditional 'put all our candy out and see what ya got' trick. Do ya see her cute cow girl boots!?!
Our Sweet Little Cow Girl!! Happy Halloween!

A Family Full Of Witches!!

For many years now we have all wanted to go the Garnder Village's 'Witches Night Out'. So we dusted of the our old witches hats and headed out for a fun Girl's Night Out! Of course we were very under dressed for this event as any of you know that have even been.... These witches that attended are totally decked out! Even though we weren't the cutes witches around we still had lots and lots of fun.

Thanks to Alisa we had black lipstick to make us look more... witchy or sexy depending on how you look at it!

Grandma, Mom, Alisa, Me and Mandy all went. This should be a tradition! Except we all need to spruce up our witch wardrobe!
We ate when we got there. Make sure you stay together... You think it would be easy to find your group when they are all wearing witches hats?.... It's not!
This witch was playing baseball... But I wanted to dance with her. She didn't object.
Alisa, Me and Mandy waiting for the 2 older witches to finish up their shopping.. (sorry sucker, I thought this was the right picture.. I deleted the wrong one.)
After our Witch Masquerade, the night was still young, so we went to Applebee's for dessert like any witch would do! We were the bells of the ball here... but soon more witches had the same idea and we weren't the only ones sportin' our witchiness!

September in full Swing!

I don't know what happened to August.. It just flew by! But anyway, here we are in September. It's only 1/2 way through and it has been very, very busy!
Breanne started pre-school at the beginning of September. She goes once a week for 2 hours. She is such a big girl...She loves it!
For Labor Day we went to Duck Park in Layton. We ate Pizza, played at the park, and tried to feed the ducks... That was everyone else's idea too, cause the ducks were not excited about our bread.
Is this picture cute or what!?!
The geese and the seagulls were the only ones that wanted a taste of our bread.
Our 'Silly Cat Girl!'
Sportin' Mommy's sunglasses.
As most of you know... I am a bit obsessed with Diet Coke with lime from Sonic. It's so bad that when we pull up to the drive-thru Breanne wants her window rolled down, and she yells to the microphone, 'Yeah I want a Diet coke wiff lime Pease.. and just easy on ice k.' That's pretty bad when your 2 year old knows your drink of choice. As you can see the 44 ouncer is almost as big as she is!
Darren has ben having pain in is abdomen for months, we just thought it was an ulcer. But on Friday night the pain was so bad that he went to the ER. The doctor told him he had gallstones. Later that day it got so bad that he called one of is doctor's that he works with and asked him if he would operate on him NOW! So within a few hours he was in the OR getting it taken care of. The doctor said that his gallbladder was inflammed and there were multiple stones. He spent the night at the hospital but he is doing well now. A whole week of bed rest, doctors orders. He is very sore but on the mend!
This makes 8 scars on his belly.. 1-bone graft from his hip to his wrist when he broke his arm. 3- different hernia surgeries. 4- lapriscopic scars from his galbladder surgery... YIKES!!!

Tumbling Class

I signed Breanne up for her first extra-curricular activity this summer...Tumbling. It was offered as a summer class through Clinton city. It was only 3 weeks long twice a week, but Breanne really enjoyed it! It was amazing to watch how much she actually learned in those short few weeks. Of course she had her 'terrible 2 tantrum' moments, but for the most part it was lots of fun for Mommy and Breanne!
Each time they would do a few different activities. There were about 10 kids in the class ranging from 18 months to 3 years old. She liked playing with the parachute.
This activity was to help them with colors and finding the hidden items in the balls.
She learned how to tuck her head to her chest and do a 'pike roll' (summer sault). She got quite good at the whole little route. 'Balance...balance!'
Jumping on the tramps were of course her favorite part. I was suppose to help her do different actions while she jumped, but she usally just jumped and played.

Jackson Hole

This past week we went to Jackson Hole and the Tetons with Darren's whole family(minus JaNae and Spencer). We had lots of fun. This was our first 'Jacobson Family Trip' and we hope there will be more to come.
We stopped at Bear Lake for a famous raspberry shake.YUM! I don't ever remember going to Bear Lake, it was 'berry, berry beautiful'... At least that's what Breanne thought.
Well, this was our attempt at the gun show in Jackson Hole. Breanne thought it was
'Too y'oud Mamma!'
The traditional Jackson Hole picture.
Breanne absolutely loves horses. Any chance she got she wanted to pet one.
The first full day we were there we went to Jenny Lake in the Tetons. It was lots of fun. We got on a ferry to cross the lake then went on a hike to hidden falls.

Why this picture you ask?... Well, this is how Breanne was 1/2 the trip. She was either good as gold or a naughty little devil! So we had to make sure to document the trip in its entirety
We went to the Bar T 5 ranch one night for a dinner and a show. We rode in a covered wagon for about 2 miles up the canyon to get to our dinner. Breanne loved it. We even saw Indians on our way up. Once again, Breanne's favorite part were the horses. Our horse's names were Daisy and Duke. She learned from the cowboys that to make a horse go you have to say 'Step up!'
The following day we went to Teton Village. We were hoping that we could take a horse ride and just have Breanne sit with Darren, but we were able to do something even better. They let us take her out by ourselves on her own horse in a pasture and lead her around for however long we wanted to.
This horsey's name is Braska (Nebraska). Breanne loved it, she was so brave. She kept telling Braska to 'step up!' I can't believe her love for horses... She follows after her Daddy's heart.
On our way back to Logan we stopped to look at the Snake River. We would have loved to take a trip down the rapids, but with a little one that would be impossible. Maybe next time we'll have a chance to.
Back in Logan, to celebrate Pioneer Day, we went to the American West Heritage Center to have a little pioneer experience. We got to pan for gold, pet goats, see horses and sheep and lots, lots more!
We went on a progressive dinner pulling hand carts. First stop was a watermelon seed spitting contest. Daddy did great.. Breanne on the other hand wanted to know what those things in her melon were. She's spoiled and usually has the seedless kind.
She loved to ride in the hand cart. There were 4 different stops.
What a strong girl! She would have made a great poineer! I, on the other hand, would not have been a good pioneer. I am grateful for my ancestors who walked across the plains so that I can enjoy my religious freedom. Yes mom.. that means Sarah Franks!
What a fun Trip! Thanks again Jacobson's and Brockbank's for making it all happen!
