Tumbling Class

I signed Breanne up for her first extra-curricular activity this summer...Tumbling. It was offered as a summer class through Clinton city. It was only 3 weeks long twice a week, but Breanne really enjoyed it! It was amazing to watch how much she actually learned in those short few weeks. Of course she had her 'terrible 2 tantrum' moments, but for the most part it was lots of fun for Mommy and Breanne!
Each time they would do a few different activities. There were about 10 kids in the class ranging from 18 months to 3 years old. She liked playing with the parachute.
This activity was to help them with colors and finding the hidden items in the balls.
She learned how to tuck her head to her chest and do a 'pike roll' (summer sault). She got quite good at the whole little route. 'Balance...balance!'
Jumping on the tramps were of course her favorite part. I was suppose to help her do different actions while she jumped, but she usally just jumped and played.

Jackson Hole

This past week we went to Jackson Hole and the Tetons with Darren's whole family(minus JaNae and Spencer). We had lots of fun. This was our first 'Jacobson Family Trip' and we hope there will be more to come.
We stopped at Bear Lake for a famous raspberry shake.YUM! I don't ever remember going to Bear Lake, it was 'berry, berry beautiful'... At least that's what Breanne thought.
Well, this was our attempt at the gun show in Jackson Hole. Breanne thought it was
'Too y'oud Mamma!'
The traditional Jackson Hole picture.
Breanne absolutely loves horses. Any chance she got she wanted to pet one.
The first full day we were there we went to Jenny Lake in the Tetons. It was lots of fun. We got on a ferry to cross the lake then went on a hike to hidden falls.

Why this picture you ask?... Well, this is how Breanne was 1/2 the trip. She was either good as gold or a naughty little devil! So we had to make sure to document the trip in its entirety
We went to the Bar T 5 ranch one night for a dinner and a show. We rode in a covered wagon for about 2 miles up the canyon to get to our dinner. Breanne loved it. We even saw Indians on our way up. Once again, Breanne's favorite part were the horses. Our horse's names were Daisy and Duke. She learned from the cowboys that to make a horse go you have to say 'Step up!'
The following day we went to Teton Village. We were hoping that we could take a horse ride and just have Breanne sit with Darren, but we were able to do something even better. They let us take her out by ourselves on her own horse in a pasture and lead her around for however long we wanted to.
This horsey's name is Braska (Nebraska). Breanne loved it, she was so brave. She kept telling Braska to 'step up!' I can't believe her love for horses... She follows after her Daddy's heart.
On our way back to Logan we stopped to look at the Snake River. We would have loved to take a trip down the rapids, but with a little one that would be impossible. Maybe next time we'll have a chance to.
Back in Logan, to celebrate Pioneer Day, we went to the American West Heritage Center to have a little pioneer experience. We got to pan for gold, pet goats, see horses and sheep and lots, lots more!
We went on a progressive dinner pulling hand carts. First stop was a watermelon seed spitting contest. Daddy did great.. Breanne on the other hand wanted to know what those things in her melon were. She's spoiled and usually has the seedless kind.
She loved to ride in the hand cart. There were 4 different stops.
What a strong girl! She would have made a great poineer! I, on the other hand, would not have been a good pioneer. I am grateful for my ancestors who walked across the plains so that I can enjoy my religious freedom. Yes mom.. that means Sarah Franks!
What a fun Trip! Thanks again Jacobson's and Brockbank's for making it all happen!

More Summer Fun!

What a fun week we have had! We played in the water almost everyday. One day we went out to Grandma and Grandpa Mackay's house to visit and play in the water.
As you can see she loved 'Mackay's' pool! She loved to jump from the side (as long as her head stayed above water!)
Breanne and Grams were so pooped that they both fell asleep watching cartoons at Mackay's house... Which was great for me because I got to have a quick sewing lesson from my grandma.
Clinton Heritage Days was also this week. On Thursday we went to the annual dutch oven dinner and car show. There's not too many things that Breanne loves more than corn on the cob!
Of course whenever there is a car so we go and I am beginning to like them quite a bit! Breanne kept wanting to sit in all of the cars, and we had to tell her they were too special to sit in. At the very end of the show there was this car. Most of you know this is Darren's dream old-timer car... a 1927 T-bucket. We were sitting there admiring it when the owner came up and asked Breanne if she wanted to sit in it! He said he only lets cute girls get in. Wow... was Darren jealous!
On Saturday we went to the Clinton Carnival.. It happened to be the hottest day of the year so far (105 degrees) But still very very fun!
Daddy always knows what treats Breanne (and Mommy) loves. YUM!
What a big girl! She loves to ride any kind of ride... She's gonna be our little dare devil.
Does this picture look familiar? This is our second carnival, but a carnival wouldn't be a carnival with out a merry go round! She named her pony 'Buster'. She was so hot.. look at her little cheeks.
After a few hours at the Carnival we were already to go back to our nice air conditioned house. We ate some lunch and all took a nice long nap. Aren't they so sweet?!?(esp. when they are asleep!) These are my 2 most favorite people in the whole world!

July 4th Festivities!

The 4th of July is one of my very favorite holidays! I love all the carnivals, parades, fireworks, b-bques and spending time with family. This year we did it all! Breanne is such a fun age, she just absorbed it all and had so much fun experiencing new things. She loved the fireworks and the parade. We celebrated the whole weekend. We went to the West Point Carnival on the 3rd. Breanne sure Loves popcorn..
...and cotton candy!
Breanne and cousin Brooke had fun pretending they were farmers on the tracker.
Breanne wanted to get her face painted.. I didn't think she really would when she got to the front of the line. But she held so still! What a pretty butterfly face.
This day wouldn't be complete without playing on the 'swing swing'. This is Breanne's favorite past time. (daddy is always willing to help her!)
The 4th of July started out with a fun parade in Clearfield! Breanne got lots of candy thanks to the 2 boys that were on the side of us. They thought it was their personal mission to make sure she got her fair share!
The fire engines were 'kinda y'oud'.
Later that day we went to Pa and Grams house for a b-bque. The high light, of course was the bounce house that Pa puts up on special occasions!
Daddy got some smoke bombs... I'm not sure who had more fun Daddy or Breanne!
I made dessert. Yum!
We had lots of fun with sparklers.
Daddy and Breanne watching fireworks!
